BOOK OF VISIONS (The River Saints, Book 1) by M.D. Westacott – YA FANTASY
NUTSHELL: Engrossing, page turner that will keep you hooked…
EXCELLENT READ BECAUSE: The engaging and unique voice in BOOK OF VISIONS is what initially drew me in, but I stayed for the characters and the quick moving plot. The author deftly blends world building between action and plays with expectations to keep you guessing where events are headed. Turning the pages is easy when you’re that deeply engrossed, and the spell never lets up till the last page… Even then you’re left anticipating the next volume. That said, the ending is a satisfactory one. It doesn’t leave you feeling like you’ve been dropped at the precipice, hanging on until the next book. There are mysteries aplenty to still be revealed, and you’re keen for more, but as a reader you’re certainly left feeling like you’ve got every bit of first to last page goodness from it. This is a brilliant beginning to a YA fantasy series..
I recommend BOOK OF VISIONS, the first book in The River Saints series, for any YA fantasy readers and fans of coming of age stories. This one will keep you turning the pages. Read it yourself and buy it for your teen readers.
Available on Amazon. This title is currently in KindleUnlimited. (Disclaimer: I didn’t get this book via the author, I picked it out myself.)

In the same way, he becomes less sure of his own identity with each passing day. Will his new friends be able to help him as he makes a daring return to the city of his youth? I don’t do stars but for sites that do (Amazon, GoodReads, etc.) I give five stars for all books that I enjoy reading. I do not write reviews for books that I didn’t. (Most likely I won’t finish reading them either.) Reviews are subjective and one reader’s three stars is another’s five, which is why I only do reviews for books I enjoyed. If I liked reading it, it’s worth five stars to me. Life’s too short to read bad books and write about them. I mostly review Indie Authors.
